Information We May Collect
Depending on how you use PurePaw, we may collect the following types of information:

- Authentication information needed to create, access, or secure your account.
- Pet profile information you choose to provide, such as pet preferences, sensitivities, or saved settings.
- Scan history, saved products, favorites, and product preferences.
- Product, barcode, label, ingredient, and search information submitted through the app.
- Images of product labels or packaging if you upload or scan them through the app.
- Purchase and subscription status related to PurePaw Premium.
- App activity, diagnostics, crash data, device information, and similar technical information used to operate and improve the app.
How We Use Information
- Provide product scanning, ingredient review, and safety-focused product guidance.
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Save scan history, preferences, favorites, and pet-specific settings when enabled.
- Provide Premium features and verify subscription status.
- Improve app reliability, security, performance, and user experience.
- Respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
- Comply with legal, security, fraud-prevention, and platform requirements.
Third-Party Services
PurePaw may use third-party services to operate core app features, including authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, payments, and subscription management.
- Firebase services, such as authentication, database, storage, hosting, analytics, or crash reporting.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase status.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, payments, and subscription processing.
Purchases and Subscriptions
PurePaw Premium purchases are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or other supported payment providers. PurePaw does not directly collect or store full payment card numbers.
We may receive purchase status, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and related information needed to provide Premium access and support.
Images and Scan Data
If you scan or upload a product label or package image, the image and related scan data may be processed to provide product and ingredient guidance.
Some scan information may be stored to support history, saved products, product improvement, app functionality, or support requests.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate PurePaw, process subscriptions, provide app infrastructure, analyze performance, prevent abuse, comply with law, or respond to support requests.
Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Some records may be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing, tax, dispute resolution, or platform requirements.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your PurePaw account and associated data by visiting our Delete Account page or contacting support@purepaw.app.
When your account is deleted, PurePaw will delete or anonymize account-related data where applicable, such as your profile, saved pets, scan history, saved products, preferences, and account identifiers.
Children’s Privacy
PurePaw is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Pet Health Disclaimer
PurePaw provides informational pet product and ingredient guidance only. PurePaw does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or clinical decision support.
Always contact a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns, symptoms, treatment decisions, allergies, diet changes, or emergency situations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to help protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International Users
If you access PurePaw from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
